3.  Important!  The backing and the batting should be 6 inches longer and 6 inches wider than the top.

4.  Selvage edges should be removed from the seams on the backing.  Click here to see how to  remove the selvage edges from a seam. 

2. Square the top and the backing.  You can look at tips for squaring up a quilt.

5.  No basting or pinning should be done.

1.   For tips on how to create flat borders, watch a video about making flat borders.  If the borders do not lay flat, then tucks or pleats can result.  If you request that these be corrected, an additional charge can occur.
